Privacy Policy

Birthday Notifier respects your privacy. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties beyond the services required to run the app (Google/Firebase).

Google Sign-In (OAuth)

If you sign in, authentication is handled securely via Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) and Firebase. We do not access or store your credentials.

Data We Handle

• Account: your Google user ID/email (to identify your private cloud space).
• User content: your birthday list stored in a birthdays.json file (name, date, phone, contact method).
• App settings: local preferences (notification time, filters). These are not shared.

Storage & Sync

Your birthdays are saved locally on your device. If you enable cloud sync, your birthdays.json is stored in Firebase Storage linked to your Google account. All transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Permissions

• Storage: read/write the JSON file.
• Notifications: remind you about birthdays.
• Contacts (optional): used only on-device to autocomplete names. No contact data is uploaded.

Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your cloud data at any time from inside the app:

1. Open Settings → Delete Data.
2. Confirm the action. The app will permanently delete your birthdays.json from Firebase Storage.

What is deleted

• Your birthdays.json stored in Firebase (all birthdays and related sync preferences).

What may be retained

• Minimal request metadata (request email and timestamp) may be kept for operational/legal reasons for up to 90 days, then purged.

Timeline

In-app deletions are processed immediately. If you need assistance, contact us and we will handle it within 7 calendar days.

Delete Data without Deleting Your Google Account

Deleting your Birthday Notifier data does not affect your Google account. You can continue using Google Sign-In later and start fresh.
